Offshore Hydrocarbon Development Program

Start date:

06.05.2027
Duration: 4 months
Modality: Online

Why train in offshore hydrocarbon development today?

The simple answer is because it's one of the sectors with the greatest global potential. The exploration and exploitation of offshore resources represents a strategic pillar in the energy transition and global economic development, constituting an opportunity for the nations with hydrocarbon potential.
Argentina It is one of them and today it is facing a strategic possibility historical.
Courses explorations at the Mar Argentino the cconsolidatesn as a relevant energy player, but pTo take advantage of it, it is necessary to have the right professionals in the area and take the next step towards the future.

Our Offshore Hydrocarbon Development Program provides a comprehensive view of the offshore oil and gas industry, addressing its technical, operational, regulatory and socio-environmental fundamentals.

The training covers all stages of the activity, from exploration to the abandonment of the deposits, and prepares professionals to face the technical, safety and management challenges presented by a strategic sector with high development potential in Argentina.

This proposal addresses the growing demand for specialized professionals , key to energy self-sufficiency, technological innovation, and national offshore development. Don't miss out; be part of the next step.

Academic Objectives

  • understand the role of offshore in energy supply.
  • Analyze the technical and operational aspects differences compared to land-based activity.
  • Discover the regulatory frameworks local and international.
  • Evaluate the socio-environmental and economic impacts of the sector.
  • Develop criteria for the offshore project planning and management.
  • Join interdisciplinary teams from the public and private sectors.

Why study at Austral?

  • It is the only training program in the country dedicated exclusively to offshore activity , which allows for a depth that does not exist in other programs where the subject appears superficially within the academic plan.

  • It responds to a specific market need : the gap between the demand for professionals with offshore knowledge and the supply of specialized training in Argentina.

  • The development of new exploration areas can generate multiplier effects on employment, technology, value chain and innovation , requiring profiles prepared to face the challenges of the sector.

  • Offshore production continues to be fundamental globally —representing about 30% of the world's supply— even within the framework of the energy transition.

  • La Universidad Austral offers prestigious faculty, direct links with industry, and ongoing professional development, in addition to a professional network that enhances the development of each participant.
