La Headquarters Rosario from the Universidad Austral It continues to grow with academic programs related to the field of management. In September 2023, it launched an innovative Master's Degree in Development of People-Centered Organizations It is aimed at entrepreneurs, consultants, HR professionals, directors/managers of organizations, business owners, among others.
The organizational design and development perspective integrated into this training proposal seeks to empower professionals to shape and create new environments where people, throughout the value chain or community ecosystem (suppliers, customers, staff, families, community), are the center and reason for that creation.
Within this framework, organizations thus redefined will become "vital spaces" for human development and advancement. The organizational environment will be fully understood as the place where people dedicate most of their lives to work, learning, and service, even transcending their own limits and boundaries, integrating with other people and organizations.
From an academic point of view, graduates of this master's program will be prepared to diagnose problems based on an understanding of the demands and needs of the different actors, with a view to proposing innovative ideas and solutions for the design and developments underway.
These professionals will also be able to design models for new businesses, projects, and institutions. Furthermore, they will be capable of co-creating and implementing solutions, iteratively testing and refining them based on the ideas developed, thus playing a leading role as change agents. Undoubtedly, they will be prepared to lead transformation teams, fostering the organizational community's commitment to the desired changes. Finally, graduates of the Master's Program in People-Centered Organizational Development will be equipped to evaluate models and projects, providing alternatives and improvements not only as experts but also as stakeholders who consider their contribution to the common good.
Lasting 15 months (3 semesters), the Master's program will consist of in-person meetings every two weeks, each lasting 12 hours, starting on Monday afternoon (4 hours) and ending on Tuesday (8 hours). Additionally, four intensive weeks will be included throughout the 15 months (in these cases, Wednesday is added to the standard week).
The academic program is structured in three cycles: a foundational cycle with subjects such as creativity and agile mindset, anthropological foundations for organizational development, and human-centered innovation, among others; a basic cycle with subjects such as organizational design, identity and culture; and an advanced cycle with topics such as world building, triple-impact companies, and smart citizenship.
A master's degree with this focus is highly necessary today because, as Juan Daraio, Academic Director of the new postgraduate program offered by Austral University, emphasized, “we are in times where more traditional organizations are often unable to contain and promote diversity and human potential. These new times demand organizations that promote the value of people.” Rosario.
