From July 11 to 16, 2022, Dr. Ignacio Silva, Professor at the Institute of Philosophy, participated in the following conferences in the United Kingdom:

• 2022 IRC Conference in Honor of Alister McGrath, Ian Ramsey Center for Science and Religion, University of Oxford
• 3rd Annual Conference of the International Research Network for the Study of Science and Belief in Society, University of Birmingham.

During the first, dedicated to Alister McGrath, the third Andreas Idreos Professor of Science and Religion19 at the University of Oxford, Dr. Silva shared with Latin American colleagues an encounter with Prof. McGrath on the occasion of the last lecture given by Prof. McGrath as a professor.

During the second session, Dr. Silva presented a talk entitled “Early Twentieth Neo-Thomist Receptions of Science.” In the same session, Dr. Claudia Vanney, Director of the Institute of Philosophy, presented a virtual talk entitled “Social Intellectual Virtues for Interdisciplinary Studies of Science and Belief in Society.”
