On the occasion of Solidarity Week In La Posta, various initiatives were carried out to promote and celebrate everyday acts of service and closeness, allowing us to connect with the needs of others.
Nurses from La Posta taught residents how to take their blood pressure, and the family doctor and nutritionist shared tips on healthy eating. Additionally, during the "Day of Solidarity Gestures"A space was offered to the community to foster encounters between those in need and those who have something to give.
“It was a wonderful experience, I would go back every year. La Posta was a great support to me and my daughters, it helped me grow as a person; it’s nice to be able to collaborate with them, to give back that help,” she said. Breast cancer is the leading cause of cancer death in women, and figures reported in our country in 2020 show that more than 5000 women died from this disease. Early detection of this pathology, in subclinical stages, reduces mortality from it by 20%.
El “Breast Cancer Prevention Program” It is a collaborative proposal between Posta Sanitaria Las Lilas and the Austral University Hospital, with the support of our donors, for early diagnosis in uninsured women in the town of Derqui.
This program was launched thanks to the collaboration of San Cristóbal Foundation and Asociart ART. Its main objective is to detect breast cancer early in women who attend health check-ups at the Las Lilas Health Post.
Children and teenagers up to 16 years old who attend La Posta were able to receive dental, pediatric, and ophthalmological care. Over two days, more than 200 queriesIn addition, oral health and hand hygiene workshops were provided for the children of the Primary School No. 37 and the Garden No. 920In total, 13 volunteers from the Medicine and Nursing programs came to offer their support. Students from the Annual Rotating Internship, who are rotating through La Posta, also participated.

Itaú Bank Foundation y Kimberly-Clark They renewed their support for the La Posta project. Kimberly-Clark also contributed diapers for children and adults, feminine hygiene products, and its employees carried out collection drives for school supplies, non-perishable food, and warm clothing for the families of La Posta.
La Central Pro-Life Association of the Tithe They donated instruments and equipment for the nursing clinic. These included an electrocardiograph, a defibrillator, and a wheelchair. They also donated a printer and a projector for the workshops offered at La Posta.
In turn, the Cauquén Kindergarten and the Los Caminos and Los Candiles schools They contributed warm clothing for the children and families of La Posta.
