The Buenos Aires City Legislature will declare the book of interest to Social Communication "Dollarization. A path towards economic stability," by Alfredo Romano, professor at the Faculty of Business Sciences of the Universidad Austral.
The event will take place on Tuesday, November 1st, at 16:00 PM, in the Esteban Etcheverria Library of the Buenos Aires City Legislature, and will feature the participation of deputies and legislators from different political parties.
Published by El Ateneo, the book aims to present readers with a new possibility for the Argentine economy. It also features a foreword by renowned political analyst Sergio Berensztein.
"Dollarization: A Path to Economic Stability" presents a novel idea, never before implemented in Argentina, for overcoming the country's recurring crises of so many years. It takes an innovative approach, addressing the nation's structural economic problems in a different way and offering new insights into how life in a country governed solely by the dollar can change.
The author not only proposes this monetary policy for our country, but also analyzes its implementation in other countries and how it works, what its starting point was and how it is experienced today.
For years, the dollar has been the currency of choice for Argentinians, used to protect their wealth and conduct all kinds of high-value transactions, such as buying and selling real estate or cars. Given that the economy has spontaneously dollarized, Alfredo Romano argues that it is much easier to move forward with the dollar as the sole legal tender, a completely new path.
Alfredo Romano is from Mendoza, Argentina. He studied Business Administration at the University of San Andrés (UdeSA). He holds a Master's degree in Finance from UdeSA and a Master's degree in Public Policy with a focus on macroeconomics from Columbia University in the United States.
