Students from the Master's Program in International Relations visited the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Second-year students of the Master's in International Relations visited the San Martín Palace and spoke with Foreign Ministry authorities about the activities and challenges of the organization.

At the historic headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the master's students toured the three houses that comprise it, which safeguard numerous objects and documents representative of the country's foreign relations. The tour began in House III, where they observed the border demarcation campaigns carried out by the Argentine government at the end of the 19th century, especially with Chile. They also saw items related to ceremonial protocol and its evolution over time, as well as the distinctions awarded by the country—the Order of May and the Order of the Liberator San Martín.

They then moved towards the entrance of the Bordó Room, where the first women in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs are honored, and the Yellow Room which contains courtesy gifts that were given by diplomats from other countries.

The tour of the headquarters ended in House I, in the Press Room, where the students were able to see the forms of communication of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with its representations abroad, especially up to the Cold War.

Following the visit, the students were received by Pablo Delgado, Secretary of Coordination and Foreign Planning; Elisa Catani, Undersecretary of Legal Affairs; Santiago Herrera, Director General of Legal Affairs; and Aldana Rohr, Director of International Legal Assistance. There, they were able to learn firsthand about the work carried out by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, its objectives, and the challenges it faces in a highly complex context, and to speak with those who are currently active participants in Argentina's international relations.
