“Neither the conduct attributed to our clients nor the trial process were defined in any law.”

The lawyers for the former Honduran judges compensated by the Inter-American Court of Human Rights (IACHR) explained to this newspaper that “judges cannot be sanctioned for conduct not prescribed by law, and furthermore, the processes that give rise to its application must also be prescribed by law.” The victims were defended by professors from the Law School of the Universidad Austral From Argentina, Ignacio de Casas, Ignacio Boulin Victoria, Lucas Gómez and Fabiola Cantú, a graduate of the Diploma in Human Rights from that institution.
