El Stanford University's ranking of the world's best scientists located the Dr. Claudio Cavasotto is within the top 0.5% worldwide in "Medicinal & Biomolecular Chemistry", and is the first from Argentina.

This ranking, which is updated annually and led by the prestigious epidemiologist and statistician Dr. John PA Ioannidis of Stanford University, analyzed data between 1960 and 2021. approximately 9 million scientists worldwide, separated into 22 areas and 176 sub-areas of research, using the Scopus database.

Dr. Cavasotto holds position #436 in the ranking among 99.546 researchers in his field of work, "Medicinal & Biomolecular Chemistry"., thus placing it within the top 0.5% worldwide in that area, and it is the first in our country.

Specialist in computational simulation of biomacromolecules, computer-aided drug design, and biomedical informatics, Dr. Cavasotto is a Principal Investigator at CONICET in the Institute of Translational Medicine Research (Universidad Austral- CONICET), scientific director of the Institute of Applied Artificial Intelligence of the Universidad Austral, and professor in the Faculty of Biomedical Sciences and in the Faculty of EngineeringHe is also co-founder and chief scientific officer of Meton, a spin-off company of the Universidad Austral which offers a comprehensive approach to drug design.
