The first group of patients participating in MicrobiAr completed their clinical trial at a "graduation" ceremony, where some preliminary results of the study were shared. The study aims to understand how the microbes inhabiting the digestive tract (gut microbiota) of people with obesity, prediabetes, and type 2 diabetes behave, with the goal of improving their health and quality of life. Of the initial 200 participants, 50 completed the trial: among the 10 who had entered the study two years prior with type 2 diabetes, six achieved remission.
