This issue contains the content of the series of lectures given by Prof. E. Mascolo in the Department of Mathematics of the FCE-UA, Rosario, from September 7 to 9, 1998, during his visit made within the framework of the Scientific Cooperation Project "Free Border Problems for the Heat Equation" through the CONICET (Argentina) – CNR (Italy) agreement.
