The lights dimmed and the show began. The central hall of the Olivo Building became the stage for graduates and members of the community to showcase their artistry. The Musical Theater workshop, born from the synergy between the Graduate Studies Department and Student Life, demonstrates once again the University's commitment to the holistic development of its members. An idea that arose from a conversation became a reality and culminated on November 26th at the Pilar Campus.
The Musical Theatre Workshop, promoted by the Graduates and Professional Development department, connected graduates, family members, neighbors, and collaborators of the Hospital Austral, from the IAE and the Austral Business Park and, according to the protagonists themselves, it became not only a place to learn, sing, dance and have fun, but it was also a transformative experience that enriched them and forged beautiful personal bonds.
In the words of the protagonists themselves:

“A grounding wire”
“It’s about venturing into the unknown.”
“It’s a place of enjoyment, a place to reconnect with art, and a sanctuary.”

All of this was showcased in Playbill: Songs from the Movies , the show that celebrated the talent, creativity, and dedication of the participants. Playbill was a grand celebration where these true artists shared their journey with their families, loved ones, and members of the Austral community, and in return, received a standing ovation from their audience.

We hope that next year more people will join this space open to graduates, family members, and staff. The only requirements are: being over 24 years old and being willing to discover your potential.
