Academic leadership in Latin America: participation in REALCUP São Paulo 2025

The School of Education of the Universidad Austral He played a prominent role in the REALCUP São Paulo 2025 meeting – “Designs for the future”, one of the most important spaces to reflect on the challenges and projections of private higher education in Latin America.

In this edition, the Academic Secretary of the EEDU, Dr. Ángela Corengia, together with Lourdes Perea Muñoz, Vice-Rector of Academic Affairs of the Universidad AustralThey presented the progress of the Maturity Index for Quality Management in the era of Digital Transformation (IMGC 4.0), an innovative development that seeks to support university institutions in the continuous improvement of their management models.

During their presentation, they addressed the main current challenges in quality assurance and digital transformation, as well as the tensions between standards, innovation, governance, and relevance in the university context. They also delved into the comprehensive approach of IMGC 4.0, which considers dimensions such as culture, structure, processes, people, systems, and strategy.

This model allows institutions to:

  • Diagnose your current capabilities
  • Identify opportunities for improvement
  • To drive genuine transformation processes aimed at more agile, substantive, and people-centered organizations
