Professor Soledad Paladino participated as a special guest in the III Postgraduate and Post-Graduate Congress of the University of ChileHeld on October 29 and 30, 2025 at the Beauchef Campus in Santiago, the event, themed "Frontiers of Knowledge and Digital Transformation: A Meeting of Science, Technology, Arts and Humanities," brought together academics, researchers, and students interested in reflecting on the impact of digitalization on educational processes and knowledge production.
Paladino delivered the opening lecture, titled “Educating for a Technological Humanism: The University in the Age of Artificial Intelligence.” In his presentation, he analyzed the ethical, pedagogical, and institutional challenges that artificial intelligence poses for higher education, and highlighted the opportunity to foster a deeper dialogue between the sciences, the humanities, and technology. He also emphasized the importance of an educational approach that places the individual at the heart of innovation.
In addition to her participation as a speaker, Paladino served on the external evaluation committee for the papers presented at the congress. Her visit also included working meetings with faculty members from the School of Nursing and researchers from the Department of Bioethics, with whom she explored future avenues for academic and institutional collaboration.
