UN “Breaking News” on AI. We share this recently published report that lays out a plan to address the risks associated with AI and its transformative potential worldwide.
The final report is based on months of work, including extensive global consultations with more than 2.000 participants from all regions of the world, and proposes:
• that the UN establish the foundations of the first inclusive and distributed global architecture for AI governance based on international cooperation.
• Seven recommendations to address gaps in current AI governance arrangements.
• and calls on all governments and stakeholders to collaborate on AI governance to foster the development and protection of all human rights.

It also includes institutional mechanisms to complement existing efforts and foster inclusive global AI governance arrangements that are agile, adaptable, and effective in keeping pace with the evolution of AI.
