The Supreme Court of Justice's ruling issued late last year, which establishes the Superior Court of Justice of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires as the body responsible for reviewing judgments issued by the appeals courts of the ordinary national courts in that district, has generated understandable commotion in the legal field. To understand the issue, it is crucial, as the ruling itself points out, to consider the stagnation that has existed for several years now in the transfer of the ordinary national courts to the Judiciary of the City of Buenos Aires. which constitutes –in the words of the Court– a serious institutional imbalance.
