It was held on December 6th and 7th in Liverpool, England; “THE Campus Live UK & IE 2023” organized by Times Higher Education (THE). The Universidad Austral It was the only university in Argentina who participated in the event, which brought together 400 higher education leaders, both academic and administrative, along with industry partners and policy experts to discuss, debate and plan how to achieve institutional success.
María Gabriela Espeche Gil, Director of International Relations of the Universidad Austral, She represented our university and was part of the panel on “How can higher education promote academic and cultural exchange between the United Kingdom and Latin America?”He shared the space with representatives from two Latin American universities: Dawison Belem Lopes, professor of International Politics and director of Data Governance at the Federal University of Minas Gerais in Brazil; Fernanda Llergo Bay, rector of the Pan-American University of Mexico; and Santiago García Álvarez, professor and dean of the Faculty of Law at the Pan-American University of Mexico.
From Austral University, Espeche Gil encouraged collaborations that promote young researchers and foster long-term relationships between institutions. She also celebrated the creation of these collaborative spaces.
THE welcomed the panel's proposal to generate trilateral collaborations with countries in Latin America and the United Kingdom.
The event also covered topics such as Institutional Strategy, Operations and Governance; International Vision and Collaboration; Research Management and Impact; and Teaching, Learning and Student Experience.
