Juan Pablo Cosentino, a member of the Board of Directors of the Faculty of Engineering and the Industry 4.0 Center, participated in "Business of the Future," a series organized by La Nación. Episode 10, titled "Leadership and the Challenge of Transformation: The Perspective of the Leaders," addressed the impact and opportunities that artificial intelligence (AI) offers to the business world.

Juan Pablo is an electronics engineer and holds the position of Business Development Manager for the Internet of Things at Telecom Argentina SA. He participated in a panel with other experts in which they discussed the impact of AI on companies and how to implement it ethically and effectively.

The panel also included Pablo Tamburo, CEO of Argensum Foods, and Nicolás Iribarne, director of Burger King for Argentina and Chile. José Del Rio, editor-in-chief of La Nación, moderated the discussion.

We share with you the main ideas that Juan Pablo presented on the processes of technological transformation and their implementation.

  • The tool doesn't have to replace, it has to amplify.
  • Any approach we intend must be linked to the concept that the person is what is important and everything else is ephemeral and transitory.
  • You can't talk about the knowledge economy without talking about highly trained human resources.
  • A company that is started today is estimated to live for 15 years, so there is a clear need to innovate and transform.
  • In a context where those who develop technology are lasting less and less time in a company and people are living longer and longer, the equation is becoming increasingly complex.
  • If the purpose is unclear, any proposed "how" will be vague. The challenge is how to manage, diagnose, and support the transformation process through technology to get closer to the purpose and customer satisfaction.

This space allows us to showcase the work we do as a faculty from the Industry 4.0 Center to continue helping companies and organizations in their digital transformation processes.
