Quo vadis ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE:
a project on Technological Surveillance

The transformation of jobs and ways of carrying out many daily activities presents questions that need to be answered from a perspective that respects the human person.

What is the scope of this Research Project?

To contribute to the understanding of the state of the art of Artificial Intelligence by providing information on future scenarios so that public and private research organizations, universities and companies can define long-term policies and strategies.

First, a comprehensive and systematic review of general surveys and studies on AI developments in Argentina will be carried out, including studies and surveys developed by national and international institutions.

In addition, an analysis of prospective studies on international and regional trends will be carried out, complemented by technological surveillance and competitive intelligence studies in the field of AI.

Additionally, a survey of intellectual property and/or AI patents in Argentina will be conducted, with the aim of identifying both the potential and the present and future problems.

Finally, the ethical implications of these developments will be evaluated and a state of the art will be prepared at a global level, with special emphasis on Latin America and its trends, without neglecting the relevant ethical considerations.

This proposed work will showcase the development of AI in Argentina from both academic and business perspectives, highlighting its trends and growth potential. It can be useful for developing government policies, updating undergraduate and graduate curricula, and informing business investment decisions necessary to remain competitive in this area.

We emphasize that there is currently no prospective study of AI in Argentina.
