Decentralized Identity to protect our data

Academic/Unit: Lucas Jolias.

In recent weeks, the State's inability to manage and protect our personal data has made headlines. First, there was the leak of nearly six million driver's licenses containing images and data, including those of the President and some of his ministers, which we can access simply by sending a message via Telegram. Then it was the turn of the National Registry of Persons (Renaper). On one side, they claim that 65 million records were stolen, including our data, photos, and fingerprints, as well as API codes, passwords, and more. On the other, the agency says that none of that happened and that everything is in order.
