AI and Literacy in Argentina: Challenges and Opportunities

Day:

13.11.2024

Time: 09: 00 hs.

Modality: in-person

Location: Auditorium of the Universidad Austral, Cerrito 1250 headquarters. CABA.

The uncertainty and complexity that define current scenarios generate challenges in the social, political, economic, and, of course, educational spheres. Rapid transformations in media and technological advances driven by artificial intelligence are revolutionizing all aspects of life and challenging traditional teaching and learning methods.

As these technologies become more sophisticated and accessible, their potential to improve teaching and learning is becoming increasingly evident; however, it is crucial that educational institutions and policymakers understand both the benefits and challenges of implementing AI, ensuring that these technologies are used to complement human expertise.

“AI and Literacy in Argentina: Challenges and Opportunities” is a conference that will focus on fostering dialogue between civil society actors and governments committed to developing policies and initiatives that use AI to improve early literacy. Furthermore, considering the close relationship between app development and data collection for monitoring educational trajectories, the conference will also address advancements in the use of AI for data collection and its application in developing early warning systems. This approach will allow the discussions to not only contribute to literacy but also strengthen monitoring and early intervention within the education system.
