What is Family Counseling?

Family counseling began over three decades ago as a set of practices aimed at strengthening families. Today, it is a profession that, thanks to its specific focus and innovative approaches, prevents and addresses problems that arise in family relationships.
A graduate in Family Counseling works to strengthen family bonds and prevent conflict by providing guidance during the crises inherent in different stages of life. They focus on identifying strengths and resources, and reinforcing positive interactions and shared values. All of this aims to lay the foundation for the holistic development of the individual from a relational perspective.
