To generate a debate on the role of universities in democracy, with experiences from America and Europe.
Within the framework of this meeting, the project "Democratic Resilience and Civic Education in the Americas" will be presented , developed with the support of the HUC Seed Matching Fund 2026.
What role do universities play as guarantors and promoters of democracy, in a context of increasing political polarization in the Americas and Europe?
A panel of eight specialists from Argentina, Spain, Ecuador, and Brazil will share their views on these challenges from academic research and institutional experience, combining perspectives from comparative politics, international relations, and civic education.
