This Diploma program focuses on providing graduates with an appropriate theoretical foundation, offering them the necessary tools and content to achieve a proper and effective systematization of the concepts, categories, and elements of electoral law and the political party system. In this way, graduates will be well-positioned to strengthen their professional development and pursue scientific and academic research.
➤ To provide attendees with the necessary knowledge to acquire a solid theoretical and practical foundation in the subjects of electoral law and political parties, and their procedural dynamics.
➤ To provide a complete jurisprudential update (national and comparative) through the analysis of rulings.
➤ To provide the appropriate conceptual framework to address the design and management of an electoral process.
➤ To encourage debate from the different perspectives of the operators of the electoral system in order to establish appropriate patterns for addressing each case under examination.
➤ Reflect on the current state of electoral and political party law, its strengths and weaknesses, and the changes that are coming.
The course sessions will be structured in a theoretical-practical manner. The teaching of electoral theory will be combined with that of electoral law, its concepts, institutions, and fundamental elements, along with procedural practice through academic presentations with audiovisual materials and the use of the case method. Furthermore, the methodology of comparative legal analysis will be applied, with an updated perspective on the latest trends in the field, debating various legal models and landmark rulings.
