Contemporary democracies are undergoing a period of profound transformations that challenge their representative institutions. The rise of artificial intelligence, the fragmentation of the political landscape, and the erosion of public trust raise urgent questions that parliaments cannot ignore.
Can parliaments anticipate future challenges? How can institutional legitimacy be strengthened in times of mistrust? What tools do representative institutions have to govern increasingly complex societies?
El IV International Workshop of Academics and Parliamentarians It will bring together parliamentarians, academics, public officials, international organizations, and representatives of civil society to exchange experiences, debate ideas, and promote initiatives aimed at strengthening the capacity of democratic institutions. A unique space where academic rigor and the urgency of political practice converge to develop responses to the challenges of the present and the future.
