Together with the New Generation Argentina Foundation, the Center for International Strategies of Governments and Social Organizations (CIG) held an exchange meeting with Senators from California
The Director General of CIGFernando Straface, and the President of the New Generation Argentina Foundation, Diego Sueiras, received Senators John Laird and Steven Glazer from California, and the Director of the Office of International Relations of the Senate of that State, Shannon Sellenberg.
During the meeting, good practices for internationalization were exchanged based on California's international projection strategy and development model, especially regarding climate action, migration, and security.
Also discussed were the major issues on the international agenda of local and regional governments, such as the energy transition, and technology and innovation, in which Argentine cities and provinces have enormous potential.
Also participating in the meeting were Juan de Dios Cincunegui, Director of the International Center for Parliamentary Studies, Research and Foresight Universidad AustralBrian Baird, former U.S. Congressman and Director of the American Studies Program at the Universidad AustralMatías Battaglia, Advisor in the Undersecretariat of National Affairs of the Argentine Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Diego Cagliolo, Specialist in International Relations; Elizabeth Orrico, Deputy Manager of Legal Advice of the Superintendency of Health; Erika Soto, Coordinator of Environment and Climate Change of the Municipality of Reconquista; Sofía del Carril, Director of the Master's Program in International Relations of the Universidad AustralAgustín Grizia, Director of International Projection of the City of Buenos Aires; and Mariana Cammisa, Executive Director of the CIG.
