The Center for International Strategies of Governments and Organizations (CIG) announces its agenda of academic, institutional and international outreach activities for the second half of 2025, reaffirming its commitment to strengthening the capacities of governments and organizations in their international projection. 

 “OECD Dialogues” Cycle 

During the second half of the year, the CIG continues to promote its series of open and virtual talks with experts from the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD)The dates and topics are as follows: 

  • 18 June: Digital government and open government, with Ricardo Zapata, public policy analyst at the OECD's Data and Digital Government Unit.
     
  • July 16thPresentation of the Economic Study of Argentina.
     
  • August 20th, XNUMX: Regions and cities in the OECD, with Aziza Akhmouch, Director of the Cities, Urban Policy and Sustainable Development Division of the OECD.
     
  • September 17: Cooperation and financing for development, with Pilar Garrido, OECD specialist.
     
  • October 15: Business environment and investment policy, with Ana Novik, Director of Investments at the OECD.
     
  • November 19th: Public governance.
     

Institutional meetings and international cooperation 

  • 12 JuneWe received at the University 15 mayors of the State of Minas Gerais (Brazil), within the framework of a meeting to discuss strategies for strengthening urban capacities in Latin America in the face of the challenges of the international system.
     
  • 12 June: Francisco Resnicoff, Senior Fellow of the CIG, will participate in the Second Federal Dialogue on Integration and Infrastructure: Bioceanic Corridors of Northwest Argentina, Central Argentina and CuyoOrganized by the Federal Council for International Relations.
     
  • 23 al 27 de junio: Within the framework of the International Postgraduate WeekMexican students will visit the University and attend a talk on Fernando Straface, Director of the CIG, on global macro-trends and subnational international integration opportunities.
     
  • 11 to August 16The CIG will lead the Brazil Immersion Program 2025: Strategic Bilateral Agenda, with meetings and visits to key stakeholders in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Brasilia to strengthen the bilateral relationship between Argentina and Brazil.
     
  • September 3 to 5We will participate in the Santa Fe Business Forumwhere we will present the International Capabilities Index applied to Argentine provinces as a self-assessment tool for their international integration.
     
  • SeptemberThe CIG will be part of the Workshop on the EU-MERCOSUR Agreement, within the framework of the Jean Monnet Module, providing a strategic perspective on the opportunities of the agreement for the Argentine provinces.
     
  • September 18 to 20We will accompany the Conferences for the 10th anniversary of the School of Government, with open activities and reflections on the future of public leadership training.
     

New academic proposals and publications 

  • October 24: Start a new subject in the Master in Public Policy: International Financial Institutions, dictated by Fernando Straface (Director of the CIG) and Agustín Aguerre (Senior Fellow of the CIG).
     
  • New executive program: OECD Standards on Corporate Governance and Good Governance for Public EnterprisesA training program aimed at professionals in the public sector and state-owned enterprises. Expected start date: second half of 2025.
     
  • New post: Guide for strengthening subnational Investment Promotion Agencies (IPAs) in the Argentine RepublicA strategic contribution to improving the attraction of investments at the provincial level.
     
  • Editorial presentationThe CIG will participate in the book launch “Thinking outside the bureaucratic box. Public innovation labs in Latin America” (Random House Debate and University of Guadalajara), which includes a chapter of Fernando Straface y Gonzalo Diéguez on open government experiences and evidence-based policies in the City of Buenos Aires (2016-2023).
