“This is a family gathering, where, with great respect and affection, we tell each other everything.” With these words, Julián Rodríguez, rector of the Universidad AustralHe welcomed a group of graduates who were invited to a breakfast to discuss their professional experiences, their connection to the university, their expectations, and the challenges they face in today's job market, among other topics. On this occasion, graduates from various disciplines participated, all of whom are involved in talent management, either within their own companies or as members of human resources departments in large organizations.
Participants included: Clara Dietrich, a graduate of the Faculty of Business Sciences at the main campus RosarioCarolina Cianfagna, graduate of the Master's program in Business Law; Juan Ubieta, graduate of the Bachelor's program in Business Administration in RosarioGilson Piegas, graduate of the Faculty of Law; María Eugenia Colucci, professor at the secondary and higher education levels of the School of Education; Lorena Castillo Aguirre, graduate of the Master's in Communication Management in Organizations; María Schleimer, graduate of the Faculty of Communication and of the university teaching staff; Micaela D'Angelo, graduate of Psychology in the Faculty of Biomedical Sciences; Agustín Fernández Cronenbold, graduate of the Faculty of Communication and professor in the same faculty; Joaquín Spinelli Echeverría, graduate of Communication; Esmeralda Bagini, graduate of the FCE; Ignacio Nuñez, graduate of Computer Engineering and Tomás Kavulakian, political scientist.
These are some of the phrases that summarize the spirit of the gathering. Returning to the Austral is a cause for joy.
“We discussed the challenges the University faces in preparing students for the job market and the perspectives of individuals and human resources teams within companies,” explained Joaquín Spinelli Echeverría. Among the major challenges facing talent management today, the graduates emphasized the importance of understanding new generations and offering them value propositions that address their current needs, fostering commitment and responsibility in the workplace. “We talked about trends in human resources and how we can collaborate with the University to generate more value for students, future professionals, and graduates of Austral University,” commented Esmeralda Bagini.
“It was a meeting filled with dialogue, where different perspectives were shared,” Joaquín concluded. Esmeralda said it was “a fundamental and very beautiful experience for continuing this type of relationship with the University.” She added, “I agree that it’s like being with family; I’m leaving very happy.”
For Julián Rodríguez, “welcoming our graduates is always a great joy, like a family reunion. We talk a lot about their work experiences, from the professional challenges they are facing to what they value most about their time at the University. They shared their perspectives and concerns regarding talent management, and we agreed on the enormous potential the University has to help train and develop young talent with a humanistic approach.”
