Bachelor's Degrees Distinguished Graduates Sustainability

The rector discussed sustainability with our graduates.

Days ago, Julián Rodríguez, rector of the Universidad AustralHe met with graduates from different majors who have experience in sustainability-related issues to tell them about some proposals that are being worked on in accordance with the University's strategic plan towards 2028.

“We presented the 5 points of our Strategic Plan, listened to their concerns, and gathered many interesting proposals that we will take into account. These kinds of meetings confirm the strong commitment of each of our graduates to society and their desire to contribute their ideas so that we can be a more sustainable university.”The rector explained. Susana Urrutia, Vice-Rector for Students and Extension, also participated, and she too referred to the University's social and solidarity-based initiatives.

Regarding Austral's strategic priorities for the coming years, the rector elaborated on: promoting unity and interdisciplinarity, fostering innovation in the academic offerings, developing research with social impact, increasing the professionalization of management, and connecting with the community and the ecosystem.

The graduates were enthusiastic and shared their perspectives on the points mentioned, generating an inspiring exchange that confirmed that each person, from their own position, can make a positive impact on society. Furthermore, many expressed their willingness to work as a team for the growth and improvement of the [university/organization]. Universidad Austral on sustainability and environmental issues, such as Mariano Romero de Haz, a graduate of the Bachelor's Degree in Family Counseling, who said that he is “always willing to collaborate in any way I can be useful".

Everyone expressed their gratitude for the invitation. “These kinds of initiatives strengthen the alumni community,” commented Bernardo Sánchez Bataller, a graduate of the Master's Program in Communication Management in Organizations, who traveled from San Juan. María Florencia Toledo, a graduate of the Master's Program in Intervention with Vulnerable Populations, agreed: “I appreciate the space and the opportunity to listen to each other and connect. Let's continue generating this synergy.”".

From the Department of Graduates and Professional Development, we thank each of the graduates who participated in this meeting for their time, commitment and willingness to collaborate: Cynthia Giolito (Bachelor's degree in Educational Organization and Management, entrepreneur and general director of CG Social Impact); Nivia Fernández Berengeno (Doctor, works at the Pedro de Elizalde Hospital and the Mater Dei Sanatorium), Micaela Marchionni (Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition), Delfina Cornejo (Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, works as an academic and research professor at the IAE), Francisco Rickert (Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Financial Planning Analyst at Fundación Por el mar), Florence Beramendi (Bachelor's degree in Communication, works as a strategic communication and crisis communication consultant specializing in schools); Federico Böttcher (Bachelor's degree in Communication and Head of Sustainability for South America at the Boehringer Ingelheim laboratory); Bernardo Sánchez Bataller (Master in Communication Management in Organizations and teacher, works in a political communication consultancy), Felicitas Barbetta (Bachelor's degree in Political Science, works as a Public Prosecutor in the City of Buenos Aires), Alexander Bell (Industrial Engineer, in charge of business development at Bioelectric), Santiago Pacific (Biomedical Engineer. He is an entrepreneur and works at AstraZeneca), Mariano Romero de Haz (Degree in Family Counseling, Litigation Manager at YPF), Pedro Iturralde (Psychology), Maria Florencia Toledo (Manager of Iterar, social consultant); Francisco Magni (Master in Environmental Policy, Law and Management, works as an advisor in Environment committees in the Senate of the Nation), Belgian Lucia (Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, headquarters) Rosario and entrepreneur at Global Focus Investments) and Marcos Godoy (Certified Public Accountant, headquarters) Rosario, founder of Sales Up Solutions).
