OPEN TALK WITH STUDENTS.

YPF President Horacio Marín participated this Wednesday in a meeting with authorities from the Faculty of Engineering and the Energy Institute of the Universidad Austral and gave a talk in the auditorium of the Olivo Building on the Pilar campus, in which he provided important insights into his management of the company.

In a talk with students and teachers of the Universidad Austral, which he titled “4×4” YPF President Horacio Marín He explained that the objective of his administration is “quadruple the value” of the company in 4 years.
“4x4 "It means we're going to be a tractor, with four-wheel drive, capable of tackling any terrain and knocking down walls. We want to break the company's status quo. And we're aiming for more. We're going to reach YPF's all-time high," he emphasized in his speech.
According to Marín, from 2005 to the present, "the value of its shares has not stopped falling; the only thing that was done was to take shares from 60 dollars to 10 dollars and less, there was no logical profitability policy."
“We came here to generate value for all shareholders. We are a publicly traded company that has to generate economic value; we are a private company listed on the stock exchange, and we have to increase the value of the share, otherwise we are doing our job poorly,” he added.
Among the objectives of his administration, Marín said that he will be evaluated by two numbers: “the value of the stock and the value of the company's net operating profit.”
Then, he listed the four fundamental pillars on which his management is based.
The first is “focusing and accelerating on what is most profitable for the company, which is Dead cow”, where YPF currently has about 10 wells.
“Vaca Muerta has the potential to double the current amount of oil and gas. That's why we say 'Argentine energy.' Because we're going to dedicate ourselves to Argentina. We have so much investment to make and leave a legacy to help reduce poverty, improve the economy, and create more jobs,” he emphasized.
Among other pillars, he mentioned “portfolio management, which includes mature fields and the review of stakes in companies”, making the “operation more efficient” and “making the LNG project viable, with profitability and global competitiveness”.
“YPF is the epitome of Argentinian identity. It’s a company with a 95 percent positive image among the Argentinian population. Argentina is at a turning point to make a monumental change in energy,” he emphasized.
In his talk, Marín also shared some surprising figures. “We are the second largest seller of hamburgers in Argentina at Full restaurants across the country,” he said proudly.
He also stated that YPF trucks cover a number of kilometers every day for distribution throughout the country that is equivalent to "going to the moon and back".
