El Child Protection Training Seminar Its purpose is to prevent the violation of the rights of children and adolescents in various areas of community life. The program offers a multidimensional approachIt integrates theoretical foundations, case analysis, and practical tools that allow for the design and implementation of concrete strategies for creating safe environments.

Objectives

The seminar aims to enable participants to:

  • Promote the protection of minors, preventing any form of violation.

  • Identify the different forms of mistreatment, abuse and violation of rights.

  • Recognize typical indicators of sexual abuse and mistreatment, along with risk and protective factors.

  • To accompany children and adolescents who have been violated.

  • Knowing the action steps and current legal protocols to carry out an appropriate intervention.

  • Report situations of risk, abuse or mistreatment to the appropriate authorities.

  • Implement institutional strategies to create safe environments.

Acquired skills

At the end of the seminar, participants will be able to:

  • Recognize the different forms of violation and promote the protection of children and adolescents.

  • Follow existing legal protocols in cases of mistreatment and sexual abuse.

  • To implement, within the institution, strategies for the creation of safe environments.

The program is organized into four thematic units:

  1. Vulnerability in childhood: psychological aspects and indicators.

  2. Protocols for action and promotion of safe environments.

  3. Criminal aspects and procedures regarding abuse and mistreatment.

  4. Ecclesiastical/canonical aspects and procedures in the face of abuse and mistreatment.

The seminar is aimed at:

  • Educational institutions at all levels.

  • Organizations that work with children and adolescents.

  • Management teams, teachers, tutors, coordinators and coexistence representatives.

  • Health professionals, pastoral agents, volunteers and members of community organizations.
