At the primary level, among the most vulnerable students, the proportion who achieve the minimum learning levels in Mathematics fell from 48% in 2016 to 39% in 2023, while among the least vulnerable, the figure dropped from 79% to 68%.
At the secondary level, the percentage of students from the most vulnerable group who achieved the minimum learning standards in Mathematics fell from 13% in 2016 to 5% in 2024. Among the least vulnerable, the drop was also significant, falling from 54% in 2016 to 28% in 2024.
Experts agree that schools can act on certain variables to improve student learning, even in unfavorable contexts.
