WELCOME TO THE CENTER FOR RESEARCH IN ROMAN LAW

El Center for Research in Roman Law (CIDR) Its main objective is the study and dissemination of Roman Law, understood as Principium of modern legal systems belonging to the legal system founded on Roman law, as the living substance of current law, as the foundation of unity and identity of European and Latin American law, and as a useful means of harmonizing law.

In this sense the CIDR It proposes to develop various educational, research and dissemination activities linked to its main lines of research:

  •  Fundamental concepts and general principles of law
  •  Real rights
  •  Obligations and contracts
  •  Latin American legal system


El Center for Research in Roman Law It was created in 2019 by Resolution of the FD No. 38/19 within the Department of Civil Law of the Universidad Austral.
