Gabriela Fabbro, the School of Communications’ academic secretary, handed the FundTV General Interest Award to Mrs. Mirtha Legrand.
Professor Gabriela Fabbro, academic secretary at UA’s School of Communications, joined the 22nd FundTV Awards’ Ceremony, which held on Monday, July 4, at Buenos Aires’ Plaza Hotel. This event that celebrates television shows offering educational messages was broadcast by Volver TV network.
Mrs. Mirtha Legrand was the most decorated celebrity that night. She received the Gold FundTV Award for her La noche de Mirtha show, which airs on Saturdays on El Trece TV station. The renowned hostess was also awarded the prize in the General Interest category, where her show competed with El diario de Mariana and Resto del mundo.
The General Interest Award was presented by Dr. Gabriela Fabbro, jury member from the institution and author of Mirtha Legrand: del cine a la televisión, a book published in 2006 and based on her doctoral thesis, presented at Spain’s Universidad de La Laguna. The book describes the life of this legendary Argentine diva.
