The Center for Tax Studies (CET) is a research center of the Faculty of Business Sciences-Pilar Campus of the Universidad Austral, associated with the National Public Accountant career, which seeks to promote interdisciplinary academic research in tax matters.
Objectives and lines of research
To conduct analyses and research on tax policies in Argentina (at its three levels of government and in the consolidated) with the purpose of providing information to the population and, especially, to those who make decisions on the matter in both the private and public sectors, about their economic and social implications.
- Develop research activities to evaluate the characteristics of tax regimes and their impact on the economic and social system.
- To develop proposals for tax reforms that contribute to economic growth, increased investment and employment, poverty reduction, and a more equitable distribution of income.
- To serve as an incubator for research projects within the FCE-Pilar campus, bringing together the efforts of professors and students involved in the analysis of tax issues to generate academic publications.
