GENERAL OBJECTIVES:
In the vast array of sciences that explore the repercussions and potential of sports practice, sports psychology stands out as a fundamental discipline. This field not only equips athletes with tools to optimize mental skills such as motivation, concentration, self-confidence, stress management, and decision-making, but also facilitates an understanding of their dynamic interaction with the environment.
Throughout the diploma program, participants will delve into each of these variables, recognizing sport not only as a means of physical performance but also as a powerful educational and transformative tool. While sport is often associated with improved health, well-being, and the development of values and virtues, it is crucial to question: Is this always the case? Does sport unconditionally promote these values? Or is it sometimes overshadowed by the pressure to win, individualism, and an emphasis on external achievements?
The diploma program invites participants to examine the impact of the current context, which promotes immediate results and extrinsic rewards such as fame and recognition, reducing the time and space available to explore the human dimension of the athlete. Thus, fundamental questions arise: Do we place the athlete at the center of our attention? Do we address their development holistically, considering their emotional well-being and personal growth as cornerstones of their performance?
Through this program, the diploma course aims to foster deep introspection, prioritizing the meaning of sports practice and personal fulfillment. We intend to guide future professionals in discovering a holistic approach to the athlete, where the balance between performance and emotional well-being can sustain their activity and promote full and lasting development.

Universidad Austral I loved it. I learned so much and I can use it daily in my work, especially with the little ones who absorb everything we teach them, and what better gift than useful things they can use for the rest of their lives.
