Spiritual Retreat
During the year, students who wish to do so have the option of participating in a spiritual retreat.
WHAT IS A SPIRITUAL RETREAT?
Taking a Spiritual Exercise, a retreat, is an effective way to draw closer to God, an incredible opportunity to interact with Him with PEACE, with greater intensity... To know Him and yourself with the light He gives you, so that this knowledge influences YOUR life, improving it, leading you to love God and others more. Often, it will also be the beginning of a sincere conversion.
There are moments in life when it's necessary to STOP; moments when one asks oneself the great questions of all time: Where do I come from? Where am I going? What is our origin? What is our purpose? Where does everything that exists come from and where is it going?
We often go through life at a speed. Rather than going ourselves, things, situations, and circumstances push us and pull us back. Always rushing! What am I doing with my life? For whom am I studying this way?... Let the world stop for a couple of days! I need to think! In a certain sense, a Retreat Course makes that STOP a reality.
WHAT IS IT FOR?
The peace of a few days of retreat helps you calmly reflect on what's important and put your thoughts in some order. Family, studies, Christian life, friendships... Is everything in its place? Do I need to adjust any aspect of my life?
WHAT IS ITS STRUCTURE?
These retreats usually begin on Thursday evening and end on Sunday afternoon. During these days, in addition to participating in prayer... Rosario In addition to the Stations of the Cross, there will be meditations, talks, and discussions in which the priest or speaker will explore topics closely related to the Christian struggle. What topics? For example: the call to holiness, the struggle to attain virtue, sin, lukewarmness, and the last things (death, judgment, reward, or punishment). Also, contemplating the life of Jesus, the model to be imitated, his teachings will be reflected upon: the new commandment of charity, the invitation to the apostolate, the requirement of poverty to enter the kingdom of heaven, the need to fulfill one's duties perfectly, the importance of prayer… Between each meditation, talk, or discussion, there will be free time to reflect on its content.
