The charts from the beginning of this new month, with daily export volumes around 500.000 tons of soybeans, anticipate and indicate that June could mark another significant period of dollar inflows from agricultural exports. This scenario is generating high expectations within the government for a substantial influx of foreign currency. With June 30th as the deadline for the temporary regime of reduced export taxes on soybeans, corn, sunflower, and sorghum (wheat and barley will continue with their current rates), agricultural producers have rushed to sell their grains en masse. The consequences are already being felt: sworn declarations of foreign sales (DJVE) have accelerated, and according to private estimates, foreign currency settlements could reach US$3500 billion, a figure significantly higher than the US$3054 billion achieved in May. The potential income would be the second largest for this month in history, after the US$3815 billion of June 2022.
