In May there is a drop in most of the components of the Southern Ag Barometer, particularly in the Present Conditions Index.
The Current Conditions Index falls from 100 to 94, entering negative territory affected by pessimism in investment expectations, which falls from 82 to 75. Future Expectations, with a drop from 163 to 151, have been impacted by the decline in optimism regarding the performance of the agricultural sector in the next 12 months.
Although it continues to show positive numbers, the Austral Ag Barometer has shown ups and downs in the last four measurements due to the existence of different types of uncertainties, whether political, macroeconomic or sectoral.
