A report from the Universidad Austral It highlights the unequal conditions under which women become mothers and how this increases their stress levels. Among the most relevant data, it is noted that 20% of mothers in the lowest socioeconomic bracket are between 15 and 19 years old, while in the highest bracket, this figure is only 1,3%. Almost three times as many mothers in vulnerable sectors use physical punishment on their children compared to mothers in non-vulnerable sectors. Furthermore, 8 out of 10 households are headed by single mothers.
