With more than 5.000 teachers and managers enrolled and a retention rate exceeding 90%, the first cohort of the Diploma in Artificial Intelligence for Teaching and Educational Innovation showed outstanding results three months after its launch.

Within the framework of the first cohort of the Diploma in Artificial Intelligence for Teaching and Educational InnovationThe event, which began in April of this year, took place on July 17th at the Cerrito headquarters of the Universidad Austral, a meeting with authorities from the Province of San Luis to present the progress and achievements of the program from its beginning to date.

Those participating in the meeting included the Governor of San Luis, Claudio Poggi; the Provincial Minister of Education, Guillermo Araujo; the Rector of the University of La Punta, Dr. Luis Guillermo Quintas; and the Rector of the Universidad AustralMr. Julián Rodríguez Priore; the Dean of the School of Education, Dr. Santiago Bellomo; the Director of Extension and Transfer, Ms. Karina Brahim; and the Academic Coordinator of the Diploma, Ms. Alejandra Vatrano.

The Diploma program is a training initiative aimed at 5.000 teachers and administrators in the San Luis Province education system, designed to support the pedagogical integration of artificial intelligence into teaching practices. The initiative is part of the teacher training policy promoted by the provincial government, which seeks to strengthen educators' pedagogical and technological skills to meet the challenges of contemporary education, and was formalized through an agreement between the Universidad Austral and the University of La Punta, with the support of the Provincial Government.

Advances that strengthen the proposal

During the meeting, the main indicators of the program, which is in its fourth and final stage, were shared:

• More than 5.000 registered in the first cohort, with a 90,4% retention, a very prominent indicator of retention for a massive online training proposal.
• High levels of satisfaction of the participants with the synchronous meetings: the overall assessment reached 97,2% of "very good" ratings, with more than 92% positive assessment of usefulness for teaching practice.
• Virtual campus usage exceeding 85%, which demonstrates an active and engaged learning community.
• Un cross-cutting work on digital literacy which allowed the students to advance in autonomy in the use of digital tools and artificial intelligence applied to the classroom, closely accompanied by the tutorial team.

Throughout the program, participants explore tools, teaching strategies, and frameworks for reflection that allow them to critically, creatively, and responsibly integrate artificial intelligence into the classroom.

In the coming months, the students will complete the final stage of the Diploma program and participate in the space for good practices, scheduled between August and October, an instance in which they will share evidence of the application of what they have learned in their own classrooms, on the way to certification.

The meeting reaffirmed the joint commitment of the Universidad AustralThe University of La Punta and the Government of San Luis with quality teacher training, capable of supporting the technological transformation of education from a pedagogical and human perspective.
