On Wednesday, May 15th, members of the various teams at the Institute of Family Sciences (ICF) gathered to celebrate 30 years of work since its founding. Since its creation in 1994, the ICF has achieved significant milestones. Today, the ICF offers two undergraduate programs, three graduate programs, and numerous professional development programs. More than 1200 professionals have graduated from its programs. During this time, the ICF has promoted research on family and society and has dedicated itself to transmitting, with a comprehensive and interdisciplinary perspective, the values ​​of the family in contemporary society.

We began the day with a working meeting chaired by the Dean, Dr. Lorena Bolzon, with administrators, professors, and members of various work teams to learn about the progress and activities currently underway in each area. Among the announcements was the launch of the first cohort of the Specialization and Master's Program in Prevention and Intervention of Violence in Interpersonal Relationships, which successfully began this year. Information was also shared about the 9th International Congress of the Center for the Study of Interpersonal Relationships, which this year will focus on "Disability: From Inclusion to Coexistence." Following this, we gathered in the oratory located in the building. IAE to celebrate Holy Mass in thanksgiving for these 30 years of work and fruits.

To continue this day of celebration, we shared a luncheon, which was also attended by Julián Rodríguez, Rector of the University, among others, to remember and celebrate this journey of learning and shared growth. Carlos Camean Ariza, former dean of the institute, had the honor of blowing out the candle to commemorate these first 30 years.

Celebrating these first 30 years not only fills us with joy, but also renews our enthusiasm and commitment to continue working for individuals, families, and a society built on values. Join us in celebrating!
