El Rector from the Universidad Austral, Mr. Julián Rodríguez, participated in the Plenary Meeting of the Council of Rectors of Private Universities (CRUP), which took place on June 8, 2026 in the city of Córdoba, with the Catholic University of Córdoba (UCC) as the host institution.

The meeting took place within the framework of the commemoration of the 70th anniversary of private universities in Argentina, a significant date that invites us to recognize their trajectory and their contribution to the educational, social and productive development of the country.

The day brought together university presidents and academic authorities from across the country and included meetings of the Expanded Board of Directors and the Plenary of the CRUP (Council of Rectors of Universities of Córdoba). A commemorative mass was also held at the historic Church of the Society of Jesus, followed by a cocktail reception at the central campus of the Catholic University of Córdoba, as part of the celebratory activities.

The meeting also provided a space for reflection on the current and future challenges of higher education, reaffirming the commitment of private universities to the training of professionals, the generation of knowledge and service to the community.
