We are very pleased to announce that the School of Education and the Applied AI Laboratory (LIAA) of the UBA have signed, in November, a strategic agreement for the development of a new platform for its Measurement and Evaluation for Learning Transformation (META) program, which this year turned 3 years old and brings together almost 50 schools and more than 5700 students from various jurisdictions of the country.
In addition to simplifying and automating administrative tasks, the new platform will offer improvements related to the visualization and management of graphs and reports, to facilitate the task of diagnosis and improvement proposals based on data for managers and teachers.
Furthermore, through this alliance, META will be the first initiative in the country to develop standardized assessments that integrate functionalities based on the use of artificial intelligence. Specifically, pilot programs for assessing reading fluency and reading comprehension using this technology will be developed during 2025.
This collaboration between the School of Education and the Applied AI Lab (LIAA) represents a significant step toward educational innovation, combining cutting-edge technology with traditional assessment methodologies. The new platform will not only strengthen learning assessment processes in language and mathematics, but will also provide key tools for results analysis, driving a transformation of management culture in primary and secondary schools across the country and the region.
