Manuel Mendizábal is a professor at the Faculty of Biomedical Sciences and head of hepatology at the Hospital. Together with INCUCAI (National Central Institute for Organ Donation and Transplantation), he has evaluated organs from donors over the last 15 years and is working to develop strategies to eliminate the virus.
