In a warm gathering last Friday, November 1st, more than a hundred people met at the Universidad Austral during the opening of the exhibition “Trajectory in brushstrokes”, which celebrates the 25th anniversary of the Amigas en el Arte Workshop, directed by Professor Rosana Labarvera.

Since its inception in Presidente Derqui, the Amigas en el Arte Workshop has been a welcoming space for teenagers and adults, where oil paintings have flourished under the guidance of Rosana Labarvera. Currently, the workshop has over 50 students who are developing their talent and passion for painting, a commitment reflected in each of the exhibited works.

“Each stroke on the canvases tells a story full of laughter and anecdotes,” Rosana expressed during the event, visibly moved. “The dedication and perseverance they put in every day, with their colorful brushstrokes, form the essence of this exhibition,” she added.

The professor also highlighted the support of her long-time students: “There are women who have been with me since the beginning, when I timidly started with a small group of friends who encouraged me to teach what I was learning. Some of them are and will be my strongest pillars, filling me with passion and strength to continue teaching.”

For the past six years, the Universidad Austral It opens its doors to host this art exhibition, becoming a space where the Amigas en el Arte Workshop is appreciated by the entire Austral community and also by the residents of Pilar. Its exhibitions not only highlight the talent of the artists, but also allow them to share their growth with a wider audience, strengthening the bond between art and the university community.

The exhibition will remain open to the public on the Pilar campus until November 29, from 10 a.m. to 19 p.m., with free admission.
