For the fifth consecutive year, the Universidad Austral It is ranked as the first privately managed university in Argentina in Law & Legal Studies in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2023.

Five uninterrupted years as a benchmark in professional training.

Ranked among the top 151-200 in the world in 2023, the Faculty of Law of the Universidad Austral It is the first privately managed Faculty in the discipline of Law, and second in the country after the University of Buenos Aires. This position is maintained for five years and, again, it stands out in the Academic Reputation and Employer Reputation ratings.

“It is a source of great pride for our institution to see that our efforts focused on academic quality management have yielded concrete results, as can be seen, among others, in our excellent performance in the 'Employer Reputation' indicators. This confirmation by QS compels us to redouble our commitment to continue along the same path and maintain the levels of excellence that the public and our track record demand,” says the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Manuel García-Mansilla.

Fernando Toller, Director of the Law Degree Program of the Universidad Austral, states: “This fifth confirmation by the QS 2023 Ranking in the area of Law & Legal Studies means that our Faculty is consolidated among the top 200 law teaching institutions in the world. This achievement generates a renewed commitment to continue striving to research, teach, and learn. And to continue doing so with a particular style, which combines a deep dive into scientific principles with the search for practical solutions through the case method and learning by doing, deployed in a rich offering of hundreds of undergraduate and postgraduate subjects. Behind a Ranking lies the most valuable element: the enthusiasm and determination of students, professors, graduates, and staff, to seek to improve what they do, to improve themselves by doing it, and to seek to improve the situation of others in this society in need of justice and law.”

To Julio DurandAcademic Secretary of the UA, “The reputation of a university institution is a complex and complex construct. University rankings have established themselves as a relevant element in public opinion and a university's brand image. This perception must be based on real indicators of an institution's educational quality, a reality that becomes more evident when looking at academic disciplines such as law, medicine, or business, in which Austral is widely recognized throughout the country and the region.”

This ranking is an annual study by Quacquarelli Symonds, a specialist in global education analysis. The annual edition by Subject evaluates 1.452 institutions across 51 disciplines or subject areas and complements other QS rankings, such as the World University Rankings, the Latin American Rankings, and the QS Graduate Employability Rankings.
