students MBA in Agribusiness Students from the 2022-2023 cohort, from Argentina, Uruguay, and Bolivia, have completed their Academic Residency in Indiana (United States), reaffirming the international focus of the master's program, with the purpose of acquiring a global vision of Management.

This enriching experience included a program of visits to companies and organizations related to the agribusiness sector, such as:

• “Indiana Soybean Alliance & Indiana Corn Markerting Council”, two organizations that work on creating value in their products and focus on research to find new uses for soybeans and corn.
• “Ceres Solutions”, a 100% farmer-owned cooperative that offers agricultural products and services.
• “Beck's Hybrids”, the largest family-owned seed company in the US.
• “Tom Farms”, A multi-generational family organization in northern Indiana with acres in the US and Argentina, operating sales and services specializing in corn and soybean seeds worldwide.
• “Halderman Farm Management Service”, a consultancy that provides financial and consulting services to numerous clients in the segment.
• “Fair Oaks Farms”, a farm that specializes in operating a non-profit public education program on modern farming practices

Throughout these visits, the students learned and discussed topics related to the development of more sustainable production processes and the ongoing search for new markets.

Additionally, our students had the opportunity to take classes with the highly qualified faculty of Purdue University Center for Agribusiness and Food, academic partner of our UA Agribusiness and Food Center Since 2006. Among the topics covered are the analysis of strategies of US agricultural and livestock companies on owned and rented land, examples of risk management in agricultural companies and the analysis of variables to provide monthly measurements on the US agricultural economy.

The theoretical classes were accompanied by visits to laboratories and research centers such as “Indiana Corn and Soybean Innovation Center” y “Digital Innovation in Agri-Food Systems Laboratory” located on the Purdue University campus, these facilities feature state-of-the-art technologies for plant processing, seed analysis, threshing, and hulling, and are a testament to the opportunities that arise when farmers, academic researchers, industry leaders, and other stakeholders work together in partnership to develop new ways to sustainably feed the more than 9 billion people expected to inhabit the planet by 2050.

During the visit, Professors Bernardo Piazzardi and Fernando Preumayr presented a plaque to Purdue University professors Dr. Allan Gray, Scott Downey, and Jay Akidge in gratitude for their trust and collaboration with our Center for Agribusiness and Food.

To conclude the international experience, the master's students had the opportunity to join a round table with Argentinians located in the USA who work in local agriculture to discuss topics related to the opportunities and risks of agriculture in the USA, the professional experience of each of the producers and their personal experience in that country.
