It is key to implement safe sleep habits

Sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) is the fourth leading cause of post-neonatal mortality in Argentina. Although science has not yet found a conclusive explanation for the causes of the syndrome, it has established a series of preventative measures. Educational intervention is therefore key for parents to implement safe sleep habits that reduce the incidence rate of the syndrome. This was demonstrated in research conducted by the Universidad Austral, the Austral University Hospital and the Comodoro Meisner Municipal Hospital.
