La Universidad Austral It welcomed its new students with a day of meetings, shared activities and a warm welcome that marked the beginning of their academic journey.
At the beginning of March, the University celebrated the First Austral Day, a day specially designed to welcome the new students who begin to write their history at the institution.
The event was marked by an atmosphere of enthusiasm and camaraderie, where incoming students could participate in various activities, connect with their peers, and take their first steps into university life. The initiative aimed to support this significant moment, fostering connection and a sense of community from the outset.
“This event reflects something very characteristic of the University: more than 150 volunteers—including staff, professors, and students from all academic units—working together on the same project. What's valuable is precisely this mix, this convergence of different areas and roles united by a common purpose. It's not an isolated initiative, but a shared experience, built by everyone. This synergy, this collective commitment, is what truly gives it meaning and makes it so significant,” said Florencia Nizzoli, Head of University Life, during the event held in early March.
The event was also made possible thanks to the support of various companies that joined in this welcome, in line with the commitment of the Universidad Austral to accompany each student from the beginning of their university experience, creating spaces that promote encounter, learning and integral development.
