La Universidad Austral and the Municipality of Tigre signed an agreement to develop projects of common interest that strengthen collaboration between academia and the public sector. The meeting took place at the Nordelta Space of the Universidad Austral.

The agreement was signed by the Rector of the Universidad Austral, Mg. Julián Rodríguez, and the mayor Julio Zamora, and establishes the bases for the development of collaborative actions aimed at the exchange of knowledge, the generation of joint projects and institutional articulation on issues of common interest.

Regarding the signing of the agreement, the rector of the Universidad Austral, Mr. Julián Rodríguez, said:
“I am grateful for Mayor Julio Zamora’s presence at our Nordelta headquarters, especially for the agreement we just signed with the Municipality. We provide facilities to train people who work in local government in areas such as education, health, or family and children's services.”

In turn, the Mayor of Tigre, Julio Zamora, held:

“It is important to work with different academic institutions so that they can collaborate in developing public policies that provide solutions for the community. We will continue to work with this university and with all entities that approach us with similar projects.”

In this context, also A Specific Academic Assistance Agreement was signed with the Faculty of Law represented by its dean, Attorney and Licentiate Gabriel M. Astarloa—. Based on this agreement, municipal officials and employees will be provided with training, education, academic assistance, and tuition benefits in educational programs, as well as technological outreach, knowledge transfer, and collaboration on joint projects. Access to benefits related to the Observatory of Artificial Intelligence, Innovation, Society, and Government is also foreseen. Universidad Austral.
